Day 01- Departure from London
Heathrow to Ulaanbaatar with scheduled airlines.
Day 02 : ULAANBAATAR ( D )On
arrival in Ulaanbaatar meeting with our representative and
transfer to Bayangol 4* hotel. Rest of the day is at
leisure. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in
Ulaanbaatar.
Day 03 : ULAANBAATAR ( B,L,D )Guided
city tour visiting Sukhbaatar square, Gandan Monastery,
the main Buddhist centre in Mongolia. After lunch at local
restaurant visit to National History Museum and drive up
to Zaisan hill top for a panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar.
Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at Bayangol
hotel.
Day 04 :ULAANBAATAR – BAGA
GAZRIIN CHULUU ( B,L,D )Jeep drive to Middle Gobi area
towards Baga Gazriin Chuluu ( 275km ). Picnic lunch.
Arrive at Ger camp and transfer to ger. Time at leisure
for a walk around the camp followed by a guided tour in
Baga Gazriin Chuluu. Dinner at the camp and overnight in
ger.
Day 05 :BAGA GAZRIIN CHULUU –
SOUTH GOBI ( B,L,D )Drive 320km further South Gobi to
another camp and transfer to ger. Lunch en route. Dinner
at the camp and overnight in ger.
Day 06 :SOUTH GOBI – YOLIIN AM
– BAYANZAG ( B,L,D )Day trip with guide to Yoliin Am
(Vulture Valley) and Bayanzag flaming cliffs and visit to
a Bactrian camel breeding family. Optional camel ride.
Picnic lunch during visits. Arrive at the camp in the
evening. Dinner at the camp restaurant. Overnight in ger.
Day 07 :SOUTH GOBI – ONGI
MONASTERY ( B,L,D )Leave the camp and drive 290km
northbound to visit ‘Ongi’ Monastery ruins (Ongi Monastery
used to be one of the oldest and largest monasteries).
Picnic lunch. For nature lovers wild animals such as the
Ibex and Argali can also been watched in this region.
Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 08 :ONGI MONASTERY – KHAR
KHORIN – TSENKHER HOT SPA ( B,L,D )After an early
breakfast depart by road to Tsenkher hot spring via Khar
Khorin, the oldest capital city of Mongolia. Visit to the
first Mongolian Buddhist monastery and other ancient
monuments. Lunch at local restaurant. Drive 100km further
to Tsenkher hot spa. On arrival trekking tour in the
forest with guide finishing with a hot spa . Dinner and
overnight at the camp.
Day 09 :TSENKHER – BAYANGOBI (
B,L,D )In the morning visit to Yak herding families to
witness Mongolian nomads lifestyle.You will be invited to
taste yak dairy products such as milk and cheese. After
lunch at the camp drive 200km to Bayangobi. On arrival
visit to Ovgon Monastery set in the scenic mountain
landscapes of Khogno Khaan. Dinner and overnight at the
camp.
Day 10 :BAYANGOBI – DUGANA KHAD( B,L,D )Drive 280km to Dugana Khad tourist resort
in the forest . Lunch en route. On arrival Horse riding
guided by members of Horse breeding families. This is here
where you can taste the fermented mare’s milk called the “airag”.
Join the natives for some Mongolian traditional archery
experience. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 11 :DUGANA KHAD –
ULAANBAATAR ( B,L,D )After breakfast drive 110km back
to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel. Lunch at local
restaurant. Rest of the day is for souvenir shopping or
relax at hotel. Evening farewell dinner with traditional
music performance. Overnight at Bayangol hotel.
Day 12 :Departure ( B )Transfer
to airport for flight home.
