Day 1 : Departure on scheduled flights from
London.
Day 2 : Bangkok (D)
On arrival in Bangkok meeting with our representative
and transfer to Narai hotel conveniently located in the
heart of Silom road. Afternoon take long-tailed boat
ride along Chaopraya River to Thonburi canal, visiting
Royal Barge Museum and Wat Arun. Evening enjoy Thai
Dinner with Classical Dance at Silom Village. Overnight
at Narai Hotel.
Day 3 : Bangkok (B,L,D)
Full day Bangkok guided city tour visiting Royal Palace
and Emerald Buddha Temple.
Lunch at WanFah restaurant. Afternoon walking tour in
the bustling streets of China town.Dinner and overnight
at Narai Hotel.
Day 4 : Bangkok – Ayuthaya – Nakornsawan (B,L,D)
Morning pick up at your hotel to join Grand Pearl Cruise
(Pearl of Siam) up-stream Chaopraya river to anchorage
(Wat Po Taeng Tai) near Bang-Sai.
Continue by road to Bang-Pa In Summer Palace and Wat
Chai Wattanaram before transfer to
Nakornsawan. Dinner and overnight at Piman Hotel.
Day 5 : Nakornsawan – Sukhothai – Phrae (B,L,D)
Morning drive to Bung Boraphet, the largest freshwater
swamp in Thailand. In the past Bung
Boraphet was called the northern sea or Chom Bung as
there was an abundance of aquatic animals and plants.
According to surveys, there are still some 148 species
of animals and 44 species of plants here. Rare animals
include white-eyed river-martin and tiger perch.
Enjoy on boat ride along the lake to see scenic views
and lotus flowers followed by a visit to Wat Kieng Krai,
house of Sukhothai style bronze Buddha image. There is
also Lord Buddha Footprint and mural of Lord Buddha
life. The area in front of the temple is inhabited by
many monkeys and it’s where a crocodile farm can be
found.
Afternoon drive to Sukhothai for the Sukhothai
Historical Park and Wat Sri Chum ( optional bike riding
inside the park ).After lunch at Pailyn Sukhothai or at a local restaurant
transfer to Phrae and arrive in late afternoon. Dinner
and overnight at Mayom Palace.
Day 6 : Phrae – Payao – Mae Chan – Chiangrai (B,L,D)
Leisurely drive to rural town of Payao. Stop for a Thai
coffee at a corner shop by a beautiful lake (Kwan
Payao). Continue to Chiangrai. Check in at Rimkok resort
for lunch.Drive to Mae Chan and Thaton for a visit to the Long
Neck and Lahu villages.
Return to Chiangrai for dinner and overnight at Rimkok
Resort.
Day 7 : Mae Sai – Chiangsaen – Chiangmai (B,L,D)
Depart to Mae Sai, the Northernmost town of Thailand on
the Burmese border with a visit to local market. Proceed
towards Golden Triangle area where the borders of
Thailand, Burma and Laos meet. Boat ride on the famous
Mekong river with a stop at Mekong Island overlooking
Laos. After the boat ride transfer to Chiang Sean, a
small formal capital situated in the border with Laos.
Visit Wat Chedi Luang, a 750 year old monument followed
by lunch at Changsaen River Hill Resort. Leave Chiang
Sean for Chiang Mai with stop en route at hot springs.
Dinner and overnight in Chiang Mai at Imperial Mae Ping
Hotel.
Day 8 : Mae Sai – Chiangsaen – Chiangmai (B,L,D)
Morning guided visits to Silverware, Lacquerware
factories and umbrella workshops.
Lunch at Namton Restaurant or alternative at
Borsang-Sankampaeng area, followed by a visit to Gems
gallery and Silk shops. Dinner and overnight at Imperial
Mae Ping Hotel
Day 9 : Chiangmai (B,L)
Morning guided sightseeing of this charming Northern
city and nearby hilltop Doi Suthep with its impressive
Golden Pagoda. International buffet lunch at Imperial
Mae Ping Hotel.
Afternoon at leisure for shopping.
Optional : Evening Thai Massage.
Overnight at Imperial Mae Ping Hotel
Day 10 : Chiangmai (B,L,D)
Morning depart to Mae Taman Elephant Camp, enjoy
elephant show and take bamboo rafting along Mae Taeng
river. Optional : Elephant and Ox cart rides.
Lunch at elephant camp or local restaurant.
On the return stop for a visit to Mea Rim Orchid Farm.
Thai Set dinner at Riverside Restaurant.
Overnight at Imperial Mae Ping Hotel
Day 11 : Depart Chiangmai – Bangkok (B) by Train
Day at leisure in Chiang Mai
Late afternoon transfer to railway station for train
sleeper to Bangkok.
Overnight on 2nd class a/c train (dormitory cabin)
Day 12 : Arrive Bangkok (B)
Breakfast on train
Transfer to Bangkok International airport for your
flight home or start a beach extension on one of
Thailand golden beaches such as PhuKet, ChaAm, HuaHin or
