DAY 01
Departure on scheduled flights from Heathrow.

DAY 02 TAIPEI (-/-/-)
Arrival in Taipei airport where you will meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in city centre. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at 5* Golden China Hotel.

DAY 03 TAIPEI (B/-/-)
Full day Taipei guided sightseeing includes The National Palace museum with 60,000 artefacts, the Longshan Temple with its fine stone sculpture and woodcarving. Visit the Chiang Kai Shek memorial hall, Martyrs Shrine and Taipei 101, the world’s tallest building. Enjoy the night market and overnight at Golden China hotel.

DAY 04 TAROKO GORGE (B/-/-)
Morning transfer via HuaLien to Taroko National Park with its lofty mountains, deep canyons, elegant waterfalls and wild rapids. Explore the majestic marble walled Taroko Gorge with a visit to the impressive Tunnel of Nine Turn, the Swallow Grotto and the Eternal Spring Shrine. Overnight at 4* Parkview hotel.

DAY 05 EAST RIFT VALLEY (B/-/-)
Transfer to East Rift Valley, home of Taiwan's indigenous tribes. The East Rift Valley also known as “land of milk and honey”, is one of the most fertile areas on the island, comprising green fields, tea plantations, orchards, pasture land and rice fields. These scenes of rural life are set amidst awesome natural scenery of alluvial plains and river terraces. Take a short hike on the Baiyung trail and enjoy a spa at Zhiben hot spring resort. Overnight at Toong Shing Hotel.

DAY 06 TAITUNG (B/-/-)
Full day visit to the Bunan tribal village and experience Taitung aboriginal culture and transfer to tropical Kenting with beaches, hot springs and lively nightlife. Overnight at 4* Howard beach resort.

DAY 07 KENTING (B/-/-)
Morning visit to Kenting village and National Park, beaches and grottoes. This is Taiwan's oldest national park, covering the southernmost area of the island and is well-known for its tropical climate, scenic mountains and beach. Evening at leisure and overnight at Howard beach resort.

DAY 08 KAOHSIUNG (B/-/-)
Transfer to Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s second largest city and visit the Spring and Autumn pavilions, the Confucius temple, the Lotus pond and the serene Cheng-Ching Lake. Overnight at 4* Holiday Garden Hotel.

DAY 09 ALISHAN (B/-/-)
Transfer to Alishan forest park of 37000 hectares rich in diverse plant and animal life, Taiwan’s most visited National Park. In Taiwan, the most beautiful place to watch the sunrise is the Alishan Forest Recreation Park due to its advantageous location at an elevation of over 2000 metres above sea level, with the Jade Mountains in the east, and the Chianan Plain in the west. Due to its elevation, Alishan's flora are more temperate/alpine than tropical, and it will be worth noticing the slow transition from bananas and palms to evergreens on the way up. Rest of the day is at leisure and overnight at 3* Alishan house.

DAY 10 ALISHAN (B/-/-)
In the early morning, take a narrow gauge train ride up to Mount Jhuhsan where you will experience for yourself the beautiful Alishan morning sunrise at 3000m elevation. Afternoon transfer to the wonderful SunMoon lake. At leisure to explore Taiwan's most popular destination. Overnight at 4* Lingo resort.

DAY 11 SUN MOON LAKE (B/-/-)
Situated in the centre of Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake is the island’s largest alpine lake, divided by the tiny Lalu Island; the eastern part of the lake is round like the sun and the western side is shaped like a crescent moon, hence the name “Sun Moon Lake”. Visit all the major attractions around the lake including Wen Wu temple, Holy monk shrine, Te Hua village and Tse En pagoda. Return to Taipei and overnight at Golden China hotel.

Transfer to airport for flight home.
