Scheduled flight from London Heathrow to Colombo. Day 02 COLOMBO On arrival in Colombo, meeting with our representative
and transfer to Mt Lavinia hotel. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 03 COLOMBO Full day Colombo city tour with guide: Jami Ul
Alfar mosques, the national museum, the Clock Tower, the
oldest Wolfendahl church, the Presidential secretariat,
Galle Face hotel built in 1864 and the Independence Square.
Overnight at Mt. Lavinia hotel. Day 04 ANURADHAPURA Morning visit to Anuradhapura ancient
Capital. En route visit to the Pinnawala Elephant
orphanage and the Yapahuwa ancient Kingdom. Overnight at
Palm Garden Village.
Day 05 ANURADHAPURA Full day city tour of Anuradhapura
including Ruwanweli Seya, Jetavanarama, Thuparama, the
oldest sacred Bo tree and the Mihintale Rock. Overnight at Palm
Garden Village.
Day 06 DAMBULA Morning transfer to Dambula. En route visit to
the Ritigale Monastery in the mountain and the Aukanna Buddha
statue. Explore the most impressive Dambula Rock cave temple
with colossal rock carved image of the recumbent Buddha.
Overnight at Amaya Lake.
Day 07 POLONNARUWA Morning visit to the unique Sigiriya rock
fortress built in the 5th century by King Kasyapa.
Afternoon visit to Minneriya wild life park by jeep.
Optional night safari in Kaudulla jungles in Habarana. Overnight in
Polonnaruwa at Sudu Araliya hotel.
Day 08 NURAWA ELIYA
Morning guided tour of Polonnaruwa ancient city, the
Medieval Capital of Srilanka from the 10th-12th century.
Visit to the huge Parkrama Samudar reservoir and Gal
Vihara where you can see the colossal Buddha image carved
on granite boulder. Transfer to the serene town of Nuwara
Eliya known as little England. Drive via Randenigala
reservoir and Mahiyangana temple where Lord Buddha has
visited. Overnight at the famous Tea Factory hotel. Day 09 NURAWA ELIYA-KANDY Discover special flora and fauna of
Nurawa and the tea plantations. Visit to Cloak Ridges,
the finest golf course in Asia, the Anglican church. Transfer
to Kandy, Sri Lanka’s Hill Capital and the last kingdom
of Sinhala and marvel the beautiful Devon & St Clare's
water falls on the way. Visit a tea factory to experience
the tea production and enjoy a cup of authentic Ceylon
tea. Overnight in Kandy at Thilanka hotel. Day 10 KANDY A full day guided tour to explore the Royal City
of Kandy sheltered by green hills and the Mahaweli, Sri
Lanka’s longest river. Visit to the sacred Dalada Maligawa
temple of the tooth. Drive on to Peradeniya to see the
green university campus and the beautiful Royal Botanical
Gardens. Enjoy an evening Kandyan cultural
dance and leisurely walk along the Kandy lake. Overnight
at Thilanka hotel. Day 11 COLOMBO Transfer
to Colombo. At leisure or shopping if time allows.
Check-in at airport for departure. Day 12
