Price includes: International flights from Heathrow, airport/hotel transfers, hotels as stated or similar with daily breakfast, English speaking guide/driver, sightseeing, boat trip, train, elephant ride, fully escorted trips, admissions fees. Price excludes: Insurance, local airport tax, meals, tips, personal expenses, optional entertainment and any service not specified above. Single room supplement is £195 per person. Day 01
Scheduled flight from London Heathrow to Colombo.
Day 02
COLOMBO On arrival in Colombo, meeting with our representative and transfer to Mt Lavinia hotel. Afternoon at leisure to explore Mt Lavinia or enjoy the beautiful beach.
Day 03
COLOMBO Full day Colombo city tour with guide: Jami Ul Alfar mosques, the national museum, the Clock Tower, the oldest Wolfendahl church, the Presidential secretariat, Galle Face hotel built in 1864 and the Independence Square. Overnight at Mt. Lavinia hotel.
Day 04
EMBILIPITIYA Morning drive along the Golden beaches with visit to Bentota turtle hatchery village. Enjoy a glass bottomed boat trip to explore the under water sea world, visit the unique moon stone gem pits at Meetiyagoda, the mask factory in Ambalangoda, Weherahena temple and the fishing harbour. Overnight in Embilipitiya at Centauria hotel.
Day 05
UDA WALAWE In the morning, explore Uda Walawe national park by jeep. Drive up the hills through tea estates to view the legendary falls and caves of Ravana. Visit to Sita Amman Kovil temple and transfer to the serene town of Nuwara Eliya known as little England. Overnight at the famous Tea Factory hotel.
Day 06
NUWARA ELIYA Discover special flora and fauna of Nuwara and the tea plantations. Early morning visit to the finest golf course in Asia and the Anglican church. Drive to Hornton Plains and enjoy a leisurely walk to see the World's End (6000ft above sea level). Overnight at Tea Factory hotel.
Day 07
KANDY Enjoy a morning train journey from Nany Oya railway station to Peradeniya Gampola along stunning scenery. Transfer to Kandy, Srilanka's Hill Capital and the last Kingdom of Sinhala. Visit to Labukelle tea factory to experience the tea production and enjoy a cup of authentic Ceylon tea. Drive on to Peradeniya to see the green university campus and the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens. Overnight in Kandy at Thilanka hotel.
Day 08
KANDY Explore the Royal City of Kandy sheltered by green hills and the Mahawli, Sri Lanka's longest river. Visit to the sacred Dalada Maligawa temple of the tooth. Enjoy an evening Kandyan cultural dance and leisurely walk along the Kandy lake. Overnight at Thilanka hotel.
Day 09
DAMBULA Morning transfer to Dambula with en route visit to Matale Spice garden: Explore the Dambulla Rock cave temple with colossal rock carved image of the recumbent Buddha and Auvkana Buddha statue. Proceed to Anuradhapura ancient Capital and overnight at Palm Garden Village.
Day 10

ANURADHAPURA Visit to the ruins of Ruwanweli Seya, Jetavanarama, Thuparama and the sacred Bo tree, the oldest in the world. Overnight in Anuradhapura at Palm Garden village.
Day 11

POLONNARUWA Morning transfer to Polonnaruwa with visit en route to Ritigala Monastery in the mountain and Medirigiriya circular relic house and Watadageya with four large seated Buddha and the holy bath. Overnight at Deer Park hotel.
Day 12
TRINCOMALEE Transfer to Trincomalee. Sightseeing includes the Natural harbour once visited by Lord Nelson and the Duke of Wellington, Fort Fredrick named after the Duke of York, the Dutch built Gatehouses, the Swami rock and the hot wells. Return to Deer Park hotel for overnight.
Day 13
GIRITALE Guided tour of Polonnaruwa ancient city, the medieval Capital of Sri Lanka from 10th to 12th century. Visit to the huge Parakrama Samudra reservoir and Gal Vihara where you can see colossal Buddha images carved on granite boulder. Afternoon visit to Minneriya wild life park by jeep. Overnight in Giritale at Deer Park hotel.
Day 14
NEGOMBO Visit to the unique Sigiriya rock Fortress built in the 5th century by King Kasyapa. Proceed to Negombo with visit to Pinnawela Elephant orphanage on the bank of Maha oya river. Overnight in Negombo at Camelot Beach hotel.
Day 15
COLOMBO At leisure or shopping if time allows. Transfer to the airport for departure.
Day 16
Early morning arrival home at London Heathrow.
