DAY 01 Fly to Yangon

Arrive in Yangon. Meeting with our representative and transfer to Novotel Yangon Max in city centre. Rest of day is at leisure. Evening welcome dinner at Karaweik Palace restaurant with culture show. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 03 YANGON (B/L/-)
Full day guided city tour of Yangon colonial city centre including the Golden Valley area, Aung Sang Suu Kyi House ( exterior only ), the National museum and the Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda for the Reclining Buddha. After lunch excursion in downtown Yangon to view the Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park, India town and China town. Optional tea break at the Strand in Yangon ( the first hotel built in Yangon ) before going back to hotel passing by the floating barge on Kandawgyi lake. Late afternoon transfer to the incredibly impressive Buddhist shrine of Shwedagon Pagoda. At sunset its gilded stupa, bathed in the fading rays, takes on a magical glow. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 04 YANGON/MANDALAY – MAYMYO (B/L/-)
Early morning transfer to the airport for flight to Mandalay. On arrival enjoy a 2 hour drive to Maymyo (also known as Pyin Oo Lwin) on a beautiful road bordered by monsoon forests and paddy fields. Pin Oo Lwin used to be a British hill station, similar to Dalat in Vietnam which used to be a French one. The town has preserved many colonial architectural monuments, British brick & timber houses and churches. After lunch enjoy a traditional horse-drawn carriage ride around town near the Clock Tower followed by a leisurely walk in the well manicured Kandawgyi Botanical Garden. Day 05 MAYMYO– MANDALAY (B/L/-)
After breakfast visit The Candacraig old building ( 1904 ) and Zeygyi market. Leave Maymyo for Mandalay via a beautiful mountain road. On arrival check in at Mandalay City Hotel. Afternoon Mandalay city tour with guide : Kuthodaw Stupa ( Worlds' largest Buddhist Book, each page displayed in a separate stupa ), Shwe Nan Daw teak Monastery and Mahamuni pagoda. Time permitting stop at a gold leaf beating workshop to witness the incredibly hard job the workers are doing. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 06 MANDALAY - AMARAPURA - AVA (B/L/-)
After breakfast depart by road to Amarapura arriving in time for the Monk procession in Maha Gana Monastery. Then enjoy a stroll on the 200 years old U Bein bridge, the longest teak bridge in the world. After lunch continue by road to Ava town ( Innwa ). Cross the river to reach the island and experience a ride round the island on a horse cart stopping at Bagaya & Maha Aung Mye Bonzon Monasteries. Return to Mandalay for an optional visit to Phaung Daw Oo Monastic School where thousands of under privileged children & monks are being educated. DAY 07 MANDALAY - MONYWA (B/L/-)
Drive inside Myanansan Kyaw walled Palace come fortress still being used as military base before continuing by road to Monywa ( 2 hours ) on the eastern bank of Chindwin river. On arrival check-in at Win Unity hotel. After lunch guided visits to main attractions in Monywa include Thambuddhei Paya temple, Boddhi Tataung standing Buddha, the 2nd tallest in the world and local fruit & vegetable farms. Overnight at Win Unity Hotel.

After breakfast overland transfer to Pakokhu shiptown on the river bank. Lunch before boarding a boat and leisurely cruise on the mighty Irrawaddy to Bagan. On arrival transfer to Areindamar Hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 09 BAGAN (B/L/-)
After breakfast, full day guided tour of Bagan, one of the most important archaeological sites in South East Asia. After a visit to Nyaung Oo Market, continue to the Shwezigon Pagoda, Kyansitthar U Min temple, Wet Kyi Inn Gubyaukgyi and Shwegugyi temples. After lunch, see the Archaeological museum and a lacquer ware factory. Then some further exploration of Bagan’s best known pagodas and temples including Mingalazedi Pagoda and Ananda Temple. Late afternoon horse cart ride in Old Bagan through local villages to Shwesandaw Temple for the marvellous sunset view. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 10 BAGAN ( B/-/-) visit asia - tours to asia
A whole free day in Bagan to take in the magnificence of this extraordinary town. Optional sunrise balloon ride over Bagan. Return to your favourite sites or just stroll in the local markets and colourful bazaars or relax at your hotel. You can also take an optional day trip to Mount Popa. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 11 BAGAN/HEHO - INLE (B/L/-)
Morning transfer to the airport for flight to Heho. Drive to Nyaung Shwe through the hazy Shan Mountains, stopping at vineyards and a winery for wine tasting and lunch. Transfer to jetty for a boat ride to Inle Lake, home to the Intha people who live in floating villages along the lakeside. Check in at Inle Resort Inle. Afternoon boat trip on the lake to see the leg-rowing fishermen, the floating vegetable gardens and floating houses. Overnight at Inle Resort.

visit asia - tours to asia Full day excursion by boat to Indein village for a pleasant walk to the Shwe Inn Dain ancient pagoda complex, then continue by boat to a floating silversmith, blacksmith, hand weaving village, tobacco workshop, the Jumping cat monastery and Phaung Dau Oo pagoda. Lunch in a floating restaurant during visits. Overnight in Inle.

Day 13 INLE-HEHO/YANGON – THE GOLDEN ROCK (B/L/-)
After breakfast boat & car transfer to Heho airport for flight to Yangon. On arrival overland transfer to Bago, 80 km north west of Yangon. After lunch visit the 55m Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha in the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, one of the most venerated in Myanmar. Continue by road to Kyaikhtiyo for the amazing Golden Rock. Overnight at Mountain Top Hotel.

Day 14 KHIYATTIYO - BAGO - YANGON (B/L/-)
After breakfast Walk up the hill ( or hire sedan chairs ) to visit the famous Golden Rock. Return to Yangon with a stop en route in Bago for the Allied cemetary. Overnight at Novotel Yangon Max Hotel.

Day 15 DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
Transfer to airport for flight home or beach extension to Ngapali.
