DAY 01 International flights to Lhasa from Heathrow.

DAY 02 LHASA (-/-/-)
On arrival at Gonggar airport, our representative will meet and transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore Lhasa. Literally meaning "Holy-Land", Lhasa is the heart and soul of Tibet with more than 1,300 years history. Overnight at Kichy Resort.

DAY 03 LHASA (B/-/-)
Guided visit to Sera Monastery, famous for its fighting monks; Drepung monastery built in 1416; and Jokhang temple the spiritual centre of Tibet. Walk through the narrow lane of Bakhour Bazaar, Lhasa’s old market place which has remained unchanged for centuries. Overnight in Lhasa.

DAY 04 LHASA (B/-/-)
Guided tour of the wonderful Potala Palace built on the red hill in 640 AD during the reign of Songtsen Gompo and Norbulinka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama. the Potala is a Sanskrit word meaning "Abode of the Avalokitesvara” (Buddha of Mercy). It is highest ancient palace in the world, reaching 3,767.19m (12,359.55ft) at the topmost point. Overnight in Lhasa.

DAY 05 GYNTSE (B/-/-)
Drive via Yamdruktso lake to Gyantse, a small bustling town famous for its wool carpets and the Phalkor Chorten. Overnight at Utse hotel.

Visit Khumbum Chorten, known as Tashi Multi stupa standing at 42m high with 108 cells containing venerable mural paintings and holy images. In the afternoon drive on to Shigatse (at 3,900m) and visit the largest and most magnificent monastery: the Tashi Lhumpo, founded in 1447 by Gendun Drup, the First Dalai Lama. Overnight in Shigatse at Shangdong Mansion.

DAY 07 TSEDANG (B/-/-)
Drive to Tsedang and enjoy the beautiful view of the Yarlung valley. Tsedang, with its mild weather and fertile land is reputed as "the cradle of Tibetan Civilization". Being the birthplace of the first Tibetans who were said to be the offspring of a monkey and a demoness, Tsedang literally means "monkey's playground". Overnight at Tsedang Hotel.

DAY 08 TSEDANG (B/-/-)
Visit the famous Yambulakhang monastery. Yambulakhang in Tibetan means a palace on the leg of a doe. The monastery is perched dramatically on a pinnacle above the valley and the mountain where the palace situates looks like a doe. Yambulakhang Monastery was the summer palace of Songtsen Gompa, and the oldest known building in Tibet. Further visits to Dzendruk and Samye monasteries built in the 8th century. Samye is famous for its sacred mandala design and notably was the site of the "Great Debate" (792-794) between the Indian Mahayanists and Chinese Chán (Zen) Buddhists. Overnight at Tsedang.

Transfer to Gonggar airport for departure.
