DAY 01 Departure on scheduled flights from London.
DAY 02 BANGKOK (-/-/D)
On arrival in Bangkok, our representative will meet and transfer you to Royal Princess Larn Luang hotel conveniently located in the heart of Silom road. In the afternoon, take a long-tailed boat ride along Chaopraya River to Thonburi canal, visiting the Royal Barge Museum and Wat Arun. Enjoy a Thai Dinner with Classical Dance at Silom Village. Overnight at 4* Royal Princess Larn Luang Hotel.
DAY 03 BANGKOK (B/L/D)
Full day Bangkok guided city tour visiting the Royal Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple. Lunch at WanFah Restaurant. Afternoon walking tour in the bustling streets of China town. Dinner and overnight at Royal Princess Larn Luang Hotel.
DAY 04 BANGKOK / AYUTHAYA / NAKORNSAWAN (B/L/D)
Morning pick up at your hotel to join the Grand Pearl Cruise (Pearl of Siam) up-stream of Chaopraya river to the anchorage point (Wat Po Taeng Tai) near Bang-Sai. Continue by road to Bang-Pa In Summer Palace and Wat Chai Wattanaram before transferring to Nakornsawan. Dinner and overnight at Country Lake Hotel.
DAY 05 NAKORNSAWAN / SUKHOTHAI / PHRAE (B/L/D)
Morning drive to Bung Boraphet, the largest freshwater swamp in Thailand. In the past, Bung Boraphet was called the northern sea or Chom Bung due to its abundance of aquatic animals and plants. According to surveys, there are still some 148 species of animals and 44 species of plants here. Rare animals include the white-eyed river-martin and tiger perch. Enjoy a boat ride along the lake to see scenic views and lotus flowers followed by a visit to Wat Kieng Krai, housing the Sukhothai style bronze Buddha image. There is also Lord Buddha’s Footprint and mural of His life. The area in front of the temple is inhabited by numerous monkeys and home of a crocodile farm. Afternoon drive to Sukhothai for the Sukhothai Historical Park and Wat Sri Chum, with an optional bike ride inside the park. After lunch at Pailyn Sukhothai or at a local restaurant, transfer to Phrae, arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mayom Palace.
DAY 06 PHRAE / PAYAO / MAE CHAN / CHIANGRAI (B/L/D)
Leisurely drive to the rural town of Payao. Stop for a Thai coffee at a corner shop by a beautiful lake (Kwan Payao), before continuing to Chiangrai. Check in at Rimkok Resort for lunch. Drive to Mae Chan and Thaton for a visit to the Long Neck and Lahu villages. Return to Chiangrai for dinner and overnight at Mantrini Boutique Hotel.
DAY 07 MAE SAI / CHIANGSAEN / CHIANGRAI (B/L/D)
Depart for Mae Sai, the Northernmost town of Thailand on the Burmese border with a visit enroute to a local market. Proceed towards the Golden Triangle area where the borders of Thailand, Burma and Laos meet. Enjoy a boat ride on the famous Mekong River with a stop at Mekong Island overlooking Laos. After the boat ride, transfer to Chiang Sean, a small formal capital situated at the border with Laos. Lunch followed by a visit to Wat Chedi Luang, a 750 year old monument. Dinner and overnight The Mantrini boutique Hotel.
DAY 08 CHIANGMAI (B/L/D)
After breakfast drive to ChiangMai with an enroute stop at the natural hot springs where you can enjoy a mineral bath or a Thai massage. Arrive in Chiang Mai for guidedvisits to Silverware, Lacquerware factories and umbrella workshops. Lunch at a local restaurant followed by a visit to the Gems gallery and Silk shops. Dinner and overnight in Chiang Mai at Empress Hotel in the heart of the city.
DAY 09 CHIANGMAI (B/L/-)
Morning guided sightseeing of this charming Northern city and nearby hilltop Doi Suthep with its impressive Golden Pagoda. International buffet lunch at Imperial Mae Ping Hotel. Afternoon at leisure for shopping. Optional evening Thai Massage. Overnight at Empress Hotel in Chiangmai.
DAY 10 CHIANGMAI (B/L/D)
Morning depart for the Mae Taman Elephant Camp to enjoy an elephant show and take a bamboo raft along Mae Taeng river. Optional elephant and ox cart rides also available. Lunch at the elephant camp or local restaurant. On the return trip, stop for a visit to the Mea Rim Orchid Farm. Enjoy a Thai Set dinner at Riverside Restaurant. Overnight at Empress Hotel.
DAY 11 CHIANGMAI / BANGKOK (B/-/-) Morning at leisure in Chiang Mai. Late afternoon transfer to the railway station for your sleeper train to Bangkok. Overnight on 2nd class a/c train (dormitory cabin).
DAY 12 BANGKOK / DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
Arrive in Bangkok in the early morning. Transfer to Bangkok International airport for your flight home or start a beach extension on one of Thailand’s golden beaches such as PhuKet, ChaAm, HuaHin or unspoiled Krabi, Koh SaMui and many more. Please ring for details.
