DAY 01 Departure
Departure from the UK. Fly to Yangon via Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.

On arrival at Yangon airport , your guide will meet & transfer you to the Governors Residence. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Yangon at the Governors Residence.

DAY 03 YANGON (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. Yangon guided city tour starting with the colonial part of the city followed by Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years ago. Next visit is to the magnificent reclining Buddha at Chauk Htat Gyi and a photo stop at the Karaweik Hall, a 'hamsa-bird-shaped' floating barge on Kandawgyi royal Lake. Afternoon stroll in downtown Yangon visiting Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park, India town, China town and the colourful Bogyoke market stopping at The Strand for a tea break. In late afternoon, transfer to the great Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most impressive Buddhist shrines of the world. The best time to visit Shwedagon Pagoda is at sunset when its gilded stupa is bathed in the fading rays of the sun and takes on a magical glow. Overnight at the Governor’s Residence.

Early morning transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. On arrival transfer to The Aureum Palace, the most luxurious hotel in Bagan. Rest of day is at leisure for a stroll in Bagan bazars or enjoy the facilities of your hotel. Overnight at The Aureum Palace Resort.

DAY 05 BAGAN (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. Optional balloon ride over Bagan. Bagan sightseeing includes Nyaung U local market and a quick exploration of pagodas & temples: Kyansittar U Min & Ananda temple, Law-ka-nanda, Shwe-san-daw, the massive Dhamma-yan-gyi famous for its remarkable brickwork, Su-la-muni & other major temples of Shwezigon built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine. Next transfer to Myin-kaba village to observe several interesting crafts such as the making of traditional lacquerware, one of the best known Myanmar handicrafts and a specialty of Bagan, making hand rolled cheroot and Myanmar paintings. Visit the monuments of Myinkaba village, Gubyaukkhi, an early period Pyu-style temple of Hindu influence with some of the oldest mural paintings in Bagan, Manuha and Nanpaya temples. At sunset enjoy a horse cart ride to Shwesandaw pagoda and climb to the summit of a tall, serene structure for a panoramic view of glorious Bagan. A magical & unforgettable moment ! DAY 06 BAGAN ~ MANDALAY cruise on the Ayeyarwaddy river (B/L/D)
Mid morning transfer to jetty to board RV PAUKAN boat. Check-in Time: The embarkation is 11.00 hrs at Bagan Aye Yar jetty. Welcome Cocktail in the Saloon. Upstream cruise Bagan - Mandalay: Cast off time is at 11.30 hrs. Lunch will be served at 13.00. Late afternoon stop in a typical river village and moor for the night. Dinner and overnight on board.

Cruise all day with stop enroute in the morning to visit Yandabo, a typical river village specialising in Pot-Making, where the peace treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese war was signed on Feb. 24, 1826. Lunch and dinner are served onboard. Moor overnight nearby a village (Ywar Thit Gyi or Pauk Myaing Pauk Taw) few miles away from Ava Bridge.

Enjoy the sunrise. After an early breakfast, passengers will disembark at Sagaing Jetty at around 09.30/10.00 hrs. Transfer to Rupar Mandalar Hotel for check in. Afternoon Mandalay city tour includes Maha-myat-muni Pagoda (the most revered Buddha image in Mandalay). Enroute to the pagoda, stop to observe the labourious process of gold-leaf beating, where gold is painstakingly hammered out into tissue-thin squares. Continue to Kuthodaw Pagoda, known also as the world's biggest book & Shwe-nan-daw Kyaung (the Golden Teak Monastery, known for its exquisite wood carvings), Zegyo market and handicraft workshops, traditional silk & cotton weaving houses. Before returning to hotel and enjoy a panoramic sunset view from the top of Mandalay Hill. Overnight at Rupar Mandalar Hotel.

After breakfast depart for a full day trip to the former capitals of Amarapura, Ava and Sagaing. The day begins with a stop at Amarapura for the famous Mahaghandayon Monastery. You can meet with the monks who speak English and also learn to practice meditation there. You can also witness 1,000 monks having lunch together. Next visit is to U Bein wooden bridge across the Taungthaman Lake and more traditional silk & cotton weaving workshops. Then drive to another old capital, Innwa (Ava), a small town close to Amarapura. Horse cart ride to Nan Myint watchtower, Maha-Aung-Mye-Bonzon Monastery and Bagara monastery and a small workshop where alms bowls are made for monks. Continue to Sagaing on the western bank of the Ayreyarwaddy. Visit Kaung Mu Daw pagoda, silver workshops, and the Sagaing hill range dotted with pagodas and meditation hubs. Overnight at Rupar Mandalar Hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to airport for flight to Heho. On arrival drive to Nyaung Shwe stopping at a vineyard & winery for wine tasting & lunch. Continue by road to Villa Inle Resort in Inle lake. Inle sightseeing by boat includes Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the famous principal shrines in Myanmar, this pagoda houses five small Buddha images. Once a year, in end of Sep or early Oct, there is a pagoda festival during which the Four Buddha images are rowed around the lake in a colourful Barge. Also included is the old Nga Phe Monastery, fondly known as the jumping cats monastery. The boat tour finishes with a leisure cruise in the incredible labyrinth of floating gardens & floating houses to see Intha people’s way of life. Overnight at Villa Inle Resort.

Breakfast at hotel. Full day lake excursion by longtail boat including the five-day market. The place is crowded with ethnic minorities in their colourful traditional dresses selling and buying local farm produce. In the afternoon, continue by boat to Indein village for the Shwe Inn Dain, a 16th Century temple site. Continue by boat to floating silk weaving on wooden handlooms, silversmith and blacksmith workshops. Overnight at Villa Inle Resort.

Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer back to Heho for flight to Yangon. On arrival transfer to the Governors Residence. Enjoy some time at leisure in Yangon. Overnight at The Governors Residence.

Breakfast at hotel. In due time transfer to airport for flight home or extension to Ngapali beach.
