DAY 1 Scheduled flight to Mandalay.
Day 2 MANDALAY (B/-/-)
On arrival at Mandalay international airport go through Immigration & Customs before meeting with our representative for the transfer to Mandalay City Hotel in the city centre. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Mandalay, Myanmar’s cultural capital starts with Maha-myat-muni Pagoda which shelters the most revered Buddha image in Mandalay. Next is Kuthodaw Pagoda, known also as the world’s biggest book, a collection of more than 700 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist teachings & Shwe-nan-daw Kyaung (the Golden Teak Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings). Late afternoon climb up to the top of Mandalay Hill for great views of the surrounding countryside, Irrawaddy River and city centre. Overnight at Mandalay City Hotel.
Day 3 MANDALAY – Amarapura – Ava – Sagaing (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. Today is reserved for the surrounding old cities. First we head to Amarapura for the famous Mahaghandayon Monastery where more than a thousand disciplined monks & novices line up each day to receive their daily alm offerings of alms from devoted Buddhists. Take a walk on U-Bein bridge; a picturesque teak wood bridge crossing Taungthaman lake before a visit to a traditional hand loom factory. Continue with another old capital, Innwa (Ava), a small town near Amarapura. Enjoy a horse cart ride in the village visiting Nan-Myint watchtower followed by Maha-Aung-Mye-Bonzon and Bagara monasteries. Then, to another religious town, Sagaing on the western bank of the Ayeyarwaddy to see hundreds of stupas, monasteries temples and nunneries on Sagaing Hill. Visit Kaung Mu Daw pagoda and Soon U Ponnya Shin pagoda and silver workshops. Back to Mandalay in mid afternoon. Spend the rest of the day at ZeyCho market full of Burmese hand weaving textile products. Overnight at Mandalay City Hotel.
DAY 4 MANDALAY ~ BAGAN ( B/-/-)
Early breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Gawwein jetty for a full day boat cruise to Bagan on the Ayeyarwaddy River. Arrive at Bagan Shwe Kunchar jetty in late afternoon. Transfer to Aye Yar Riverview Hotel for overnight. Evening at leisure.
DAY 5 BAGAN (B/-/-)
After breakfast Bagan sightseeings start with Nyaung U local town market and then exploration of major pagodas & temples: Kyansittar U Min & Ananda temples, Law-ka-nanda, Shwe-san-daw, the massive Dhamma-yan-gyi known for its remarkable brickwork, Su-la-muni and major temples of Shwezigon built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine. Afterwards, we head to Myin-kaba handicrafts village where skillful Bagan artists produce hand rolled cheroot and lacquerware. Not to be missed are the monuments in Myinkaba village : Gubyaukkhi, an early period Pyu-style Hindu temple with some of the oldest mural paintings, Manuha and Nanpaya temples. At sunset climb to the summit of a tall, serene structure to enjoy the stunning panoramic view of glorious Bagan. A magical moment ! Overnight in Bagan.

Day at leisure in Bagan to enjoy this magical town or venture to mount Popa.
DAY 7 BAGAN / HEHO – Inle Lake (B/-/-)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Heho. On arrival enjoy a 30 minute scenic drive to Nyaung Shwe. Board a boat to your Hotel in Inle lake. After checking in, enjoy the first Inle visits: Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, one of the most famous principal shrines in Myanmar housing five small Buddha images. Once a year, at the end of September a pagoda festival takes place on the lake during which the Four Buddha images are rowed around the lake in a colourfully decorated barge. Next visit is to the old Nga Phe Monastery, fondly known as the jumping cats monastery, floating houses & gardens to experience village life of Intha. Overnight at Inle Resort.
DAY 8 INLE – INDEIN Village (B/-/-)
Full day excursion on longtail boat visiting a five-day market crowded with ethnic minorities in their traditional dresses. Continue by boat to “Indein” village for the Shwe Inn Dain pagoda, a 16th Century temple site, very different to ruins of Bagan, as this area was only recently discovered. Next visits are silk weaving on wooden handlooms, local silversmiths and blacksmiths’ workshops. Overnight at Inle Resort.
DAY 9 INLE LAKE – HEHO / YANGON (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel before transfer to Heho airport for morning flight to Yangon. Afternoon Yangon city orientation tour: Yangon downtown colonial quarter, Sule Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years ago, City Hall, Karaweik Hall - a hamsa-bird-shaped floating barge on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake and Chaukhtakyi Pagoda with the huge Reclining Buddha. Next enjoy a stroll in India town, Boyoke market also known Scott market and finally transfer to the great “Shwedagon Pagoda”, one of the most impressive Buddhist shrines anywhere in the world. The best time to visit Shwedagon Pagoda is at sunset when its gilded stupa is bathed in the fading rays of the sun and takes on a magical glow. Overnight at Summit Park View Hotel.
DAY 10 DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
After breakfast transfer to Yangon International airport for flight home.
