DAY 01 Departure International flights to Singapore.

DAY 02 SINGAPORE (-/-/-)
On arrival, arrange own taxi to the Rendez-Vous 4* hotel, near Orchard Road. Rest of the day is at leisure in Singapore. Overnight at Rendez-Vous hotel.

DAY 03 MALACCA (B/-/-)
Meet at your hotel lobby in early morning for a transfer to the railway station for your train to Tampin, Malacca (train timing subject to change). Enjoy the rural scenery as the train passes through villages and plantations. Arrive at Tampin railway station at 12:15 PM where your driver/guide will be waiting. Proceed on a tour of historic sites such as the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the oldest functioning Chinese temple in Malaysia, Kampung Kling Mosque, Jonker Street (Antique Row), Baba & Nyonya Museum, Stadhuy’s Building, Malacca Clock Tower, Christchurch and the famous Porta de Santiago. Overnight at 5* Equatorial Malacca hotel.

DAY 04 KUALA LUMPUR (B/-/-)
Morning departure to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia . Upon arrival you will have a guided tour encompassing the King’s Palace (photo stop), the National Mosque & Railway Station, National Monument, Independence Square, Sultan Abdul Samad building (photo stop), Selangor Club (photo stop), St Mary’s Church and the world’s tallest free-standing flagpole. Tour resumes with a visit to the Seri Mahamariaman Temple and the colourful Chinatown for a spot of bargain hunting. Before checking in to your hotel, visit the tallest Communication Tower in South East Asia for a panoramic view of the City. Overnight at 4* Corus hotel in city centre.

DAY 05 KUALA LUMPUR (B/-/-)
After breakfast, embark on a tour of the Countryside, visiting a Pewter factory showing that Malaysia is one of the biggest producers of tin, Batu Caves, the holy sacred cave temple for the Hindus (closed during Thipusam Day in January/February) and a Batik factory. Rest of the day is at leisure to discover bargain shopping or the cosy cafes & restaurants of Kuala Lumpur, the happening City. Overnight at Corus hotel.

DAY 06 CAMERON HIGHLANDS (B/-/-)
Morning departure for Cameron Highland located 1542 metres above sea level and noted for its tea plantations and cool temperatures. On the way, visit the cottage industry of basket weaving followed by Lata Iskandar Waterfall and a native settlement. Immerse yourself in the cool, crisp air of Cameron Highlands with its wonderful scenery. Guided tour of Cameron Highlands with its tea plantation, tea factory, market place and butterfly farm. Overnight at 4* Strawberry Park hotel.

DAY 07 PENANG (B/-/-)
Set off in the early hours of the morning to Penang. En route visit the Sam Poh Tong cave temple. Thereafter stop at the Royal town of Kuala Kangsar to take some memorable photos of the exterior of Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan. Proceed further to Kuala Sepetang mangrove forest, the best managed mangrove forest in Malaysia, and one that serves a very important ecological role in protecting the coastline from erosion. Delight in the novelty of walking through the natural mangrove forest on a boardwalk. Kuala Sepetang produces the bulk of the nation’s top quality mangrove charcoal. As such, we then visit a charcoal kiln to learn about the production process. Cross over to Penang, better known as the “Pearl of the Orient” via the fifth longest bridge in the world. Overnight at 4* Bayview Beach resort.

DAY 08 PENANG (B/-/-)
Depart from the hotel for a City, Culture, and Heritage tour of Georgetown, officially declared as a UNESCO SITE in 2008. Visit the 3rd longest reclining Buddha figure in the world followed by Kek Lok Si Temple, also known as Temple of 1000 Buddhas, built in 1904. It is the most beautiful and largest Buddhist temple complex in South East Asia. Next we visit Fort Cornwallis, the landing site of Captain Francis Light in 1786 when he arrived to start the first British colony in Penang. The tour carries on with a visit to the water village of The Clan Jetties at Weld Quay. We next take you along Pitt Street, also known as “The Street of Harmony” where churches, Chinese temples, mosques and Hindu temples are built alongside each other in harmonious existence for centuries. Visit the intricate Khoo Kong Si clan’s house. Enjoy a breezy trishaw ride, still a popular mode of transport in Georgetown. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. In the late evening, you can explore the nightlife along Batu Ferringhi, Penang style! Overnight at 4* Bayview Beach resort.

DAY 09 BANGKOK (B/-/-)
Transfer to Butterworth to board the international train to Bangkok. The journey is unaccompanied. Only 2nd class train tickets are available. Overnight sleeping berth.

DAY 10 BANGKOK (-/-/-)
Morning arrival in Bangkok and transfer to 5* Sofitel Silom. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore Bangkok city. Overnight in Bangkok.

DAY 11 DEPARTURE (B/-/-)
Arrange own taxi to Bangkok airport for flight home.

DAY 12 Arrive home.
