DAY 01 Departure from London Heathrow

DAY 02 SEOUL (-/-/-)
Arrive at Incheon International Airport where you will be met by our representative and transferred to Hamilton hotel or other local 4* hotel in Itaewon street in Seoul. Rest of the day is free for leisure time. Overnight in Seoul.

DAY 03 SEOUL (B/-/-)
After breakfast, half-day Seoul city tour starting with the National Museum of Korea. This new museum built in 2005 is boasting a fantastic collection of Korean arts and relics. The next visit is Changdeok Palace & Huwon Secret Garden, a UNESCO designated World Heritage. Finally transfer to Seoul Tower on Mt.Namsan for a bird’s eye view of this Metropolitan city. Return to hotel at around 15:00. Overnight in Seoul.

DAY 04 SEOUL / KOREAN FOLK VILLAGE / Mt. SONGNISAN / DAEGU (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Korean Folk Village where traditional Hanok houses are preserved and where local people still continue the lifestyle of the 18th century. Proceed to Songnisan National Park to visit Beopjusa Temple which houses the tallest Buddha Statue in Korea. The forest park is an ideal place for a leisure walk. Afterwards drive to Daegu on the Expressway. Overnight at 4* Daegu Grand Hotel.

DAY 05 DAEGU / GYEONGJU TOUR (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Gyeongju, the capital of the Silla kingdom from 57BC – 935AD. The city is also known as the “Museum without walls,” with its 52 designated sites within it. Half day Gyeongju tour including Cheomseongdae Astronomic Observatory, Royal Tumuli Park and its Royal tombs. Enter one of the excavated tombs to see the construction and process behind the Royal Kings burial chambers. Last visit is Bulguksa Temple, completely restored to its former glory after being destroyed by the Japanese during their invasion. Overnight at 5* Kolon Gyeongju Hotel.

DAY 06 GYEONGJU (B/-/-)
After breakfast, start your full day tour of Gyeongju by visiting Seokguram Grottoe, established in the 8th century on the slopes of Mt. Toham. The grottoe contains a monumental statue of a sitting Buddha looking out to sea. It is considered a masterpiece of Buddhist art in the Far East. Visit the 4-face Buddha, and Gwaeneung Royal Tomb before embarking on a scenic drive along the coast to Guryongpo Port. Return to Gyeongju for overnight at Kolon Hotel.

DAY 07 GYEONGJU / BUSAN (B/-/-)
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Unmoonsa Temple (Buddhist Nun's temple). Continue by road to Busan, the second largest city in South Korea. Upon arrival, start a half-day Busan tour: Busan Tower on Mt Yongdusan with its observation deck offering stunning views over the city and beyond, Jagalchi Fish Market where roadside fishmongers sell various kinds of fish. Enjoy a stroll in Nampodong Street before transferring to your hotel. Overnight at 4* Busan Hotel.

DAY 08 BUSAN / HAEINSA TEMPLE / ANDONG / CHUNGJU (B/-/-)
After breakfast, transfer to Mt Gayasan National Park on the Expressway. Mt Gayasan National Park is famous for its scenic lanscapes and historic sites amongst which is Haeinsa Temple, which keeps a large number of Korean cultural treasures, one of them is the Unesco World Heritage Tripikata Koreana wooden printing blocks written during the Goryo Dynasty to protect the country from the invasion of Mongolian troops by Buddha’s power. Proceed to Andong, 2 hours drive from Haeinsa. Andong is the best-preserved village with its traditional style noble houses. In 1999, Queen Elisabeth II visited Hahoe Village and was welcomed with a Birthday Party Table decorated in Korean traditional way. Hahoe Village in Andong is famous for its own mask dance. Continue by road to Chungju Lake. Overnight at 4* Cheongpoong Lake Hotel.

DAY 09 CHUNGJU / Mt. SEORAK NATIONAL PARK / TEMPLE STAY
After breakfast, take a boat ride to enjoy stunning lakeside sceneries. Transfer to Mt Seorak National Park with a stop in Gangneung for the Chamsori Gramophone & Audio Museum. This museum boasts an incredible collection of 19th Century gramophones and 1st generation audio systems. Next proceed to Samhwasa Temple to experience a unique temple stay. Upon arrival at the temple, you are kindly asked to put on your temple uniform provided by the temple. Attend an induction session of temple regulations and time table for activities: evening Bell ringing ceremony, chanting Mass and meditation class. Overnight at the temple (for one night you will not have telephone & TV. Alcohol not allowed. The room is a private Korean traditional style room but with shared toilet & bathroom).

DAY 10 Mt SEORAK / DMZ (B/-/-)
Wake up at 3am for morning Worship (not compulsory). After breakfast, transfer to DMZ Unification Observatory on demarcation line in the East Coast for a very close view of North Korea. Return to Mt. Seorak and enjoy a cable car ride to Gwongeumseong Fortress to visit Sinheungsa Temple. Opportunity to swim in a hot sring or enjoy sauna at Waterpia Spa Park at own expense. Stay at this fabulous water park as long as you wish. Take a taxi to 5* Kensington hotel.

DAY 11 Mt SEORAK NATIONAL PARK / SEOUL (B/-/-)
After breakfast, transfer to Gapyeong for a walk in the Garden of Morning Calm Flower and Plant, which collects exotic Korean Wild flowers and plants (May to October only). In the other months visit Yangpyeong Film Studio. Overland transfer to Seoul. Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities or shopping in Itaewon Shopping District. Overnight at Hamilton Hotel in Seoul.

DAY 12 SEOUL (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel. End of Tour. No transfer is provided. Join the Airport Limousine which departs every 10-15 minutes outside your hotel (bus fare approximately £10 per person).
