Day 01 Leh - Lamayueru ( 130 kms- 4 hours drive.) (B/L/D)

In the morning leave for Lamayuru via Alchi & Likir. The name Likir is a distortion of the word Klu-Kkhyil or "spirits of the water”. This 14th Century monastery belongs to the Gelugpa (Yellow Hat) Sect. Also known as the Choes-kor or "religious enclave", the Alchi monastery was built in the 11th Century by a famous scholar, Rinchen Zangpo. The abandoned monastery is maintained by monks from the Likir Gompa. Alchi has murals which predate the Tibetan style of painting, along with Tabo (Spiti Valley) and Phugtol Gompa (Zanskar Valley). The murals are the sole survivors of a style of painting prevalent in the first millennium. Another half an hour drive and we arrive in Rizong Monastery. Nearby is Chomoling, an exclusive village of nuns. Drive on to Lamayuru. Situated on a drained lake, the monastery at Lamayuru is known for its scenic beauty and is the oldest in Ladakh, dating before the 10th Century, and is built on a sacred Bon ( the pre-Buddhist religion) site. Lamayuru used to be an asylum for criminals, though not any longer! Overnight at Moon Land Hotel.

Day 02 Lamayuru - Sonamarg ( 204 kms- 8 hours drive) (B/-/D)

Morning drive towards Sonamarg via Kargil to see the 9 m tall rock sculpture of the Maitreya Buddha at Mulbek (7th –8th century AD). Further we will drive through Drass (famous as the second coldest inhabited place in the world) and crossing the Zoji-la Pass (11,500-ft. / 3,505 m) to reach Sonamarg. On arrival in Sonamarg, take a breather here and marvel at the beauty of Sonamarg, its sheer scenic splendour, meadows of gold. Ponies can be hired for a trip up to Thajiwas glacier – a major attraction during the summer months. Sonamarg importance lies in the fact that it is the last halt on the Kashmir side for the drive from Srinager to Leh. See snowy Mountains against a cerulean sky against its backdrop. Overnight at Rah Villas Hotel.

Day 03 Sonamarg - Srinager ( 100 kms - 2 hours drive ) (B/-/D )
Morning proceed for Srinager (2 Hours drive 100 Kms) through massive mountains laden with forests and firs. After this breathtaking car journey, come across Sindh meanders that are abounded with trout & mahseer. On arrival check in your Houseboat. Welcome drink on arrival. Afternoon enjoy a boat ride in Dal lake. Dinner and overnight in Super Deluxe Gurkha Houseboat.

Day 04 Srinager Inn (B/L/D)

The moghal emperor Jahangir was so captivated by the beauty of this valley that exclaimed, "Gar Firduas ruhe zamin ast, hamin asto hamin asto hamin asto the translations is ( If you are looking for a Paradise, it is Kashmir.) Morning sightseeing of the Mughal gardens built by Jahangir. The Shalimar Bagh & Nishat Bagh are beautiful gardens located to the far eastern side of the Dal Lake with Zabarwan Mountains in the background. One can take a stroll amongst these greens and attractive gardens and enjoy the waterworks within. The way back will include the visit to Royal Spring the one and only Chasm's Shahi. The water oozes from the top of the garden and is known for its high quality and digestive properties. Evening free for shopping. Dinner and overnight in Houseboat.

Day 05 Srinager – Gulmarg - Srinager ( 100 Kms - 6 hours drive.) (B/-/D)

After Breakfast leave for Gulmarg (meadow of flowers) 2730 m above sea level. In summertime, the meadow of Gulmarg are laden with flowers. In wintertime snow cover the slopes of Gulmarg turning it into a skiing resort. It is a popular trekking destination and boasts of world's highest golf course. From here one can also have a view of Nanga Parbat weather permitting. One can also think of a short trek or can board a Gondola going right up to the base of khilanmarg in about 3 hours. Here perhaps the world's best sights can be viewed . Drive back to Srinager for dinner and overnight in Houseboat

Day 06 Srinager/Delhi (B/-/-)
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Delhi.
