DAY 01 Departure from London Heathrow

DAY 02 SEOUL (-/-/-)
Arrive at Incheon International Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Balance of day is free for your own leisure time or rest. Overnight at local 4star Summit Dongdaemun hotel. If you have an extension in Seoul before the tour starting day, the airport transfer is not provided. Please take an airport limousine bus to Summit Hotel from bus stop 12B or 6A. Please look for bus with sign #6001 (Incheon International Airport – Toyoko Inn Hotel )”. Purchase the bus tickets at the limousine bus counter inside the airport or at the ticket booths outside. The bus is available every 20-25 minutes from 06:20 am until 23:00 depart from Inchehon Airport.

DAY 03 SEOUL (B/-/-)
After breakfast, start half-day Seoul tour including National Museum of Korea. This new museum built in 2005 is boasting its fantastic collection of Korean arts and relics. The next visit is to Changdeok Palace & Huwon (Secret Garden), UNESCO designated World Heritage. Proceed to the N Seoul Tower on Mt. Namsan for a bird’s eye view of Metropolitan city of Seoul. The last visit at Gwangjang Market. Return to hotel . Overnight at local 4star Summit hotel.

visit asia - tours to asiaDAY 04 SEOUL / KOREAN FOLK VILLAGE / Mt. SONGNISAN NATIONAL PARK / DAEGU (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. Check-out and pick-up from hotel. Transfer to Korean Folk Village outside of Seoul, where the old traditional style houses and life style of 18th-19th century are being practiced by people living in the village. Proceed to Songnisan National Park to visit Beopjusa Temple where the tallest Buddha Statue in Korea has. The forest park is ideal place for walking. Afterward, drive to Daegu via expressway. Overnight at local 5star Daegu Grand Hotel.

DAY 05 DAEGU / GYEONGJU (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Gyeongju, the capital of the Silla kingdom from 57BC – 935AD and the city is known as the “Museum without walls,” as there are 52 designated sites within this city. Upon arrival in Gyeongju, half day Gyeongju tour including Cheomseongdae Astronomic Observatory, Royal Tumuli Park with its Royal tombs. You will have the chance to enter one of the excavated tombs to see the construction and process behind the Royal Kings burial chambers. Last visit is at Bulguksa Temple although rebuilt following destruction by the Japanese during their occupancy. The Temple has been completely restored to its former glory. Overnight at local 5 star Commodore Hotel.

DAY 06 GYEONGJU (B/-/-)
After breakfast, start your full day tour of Gyeongju by visiting Seokguram Grotto, established in the 8th century on the slopes of Mt. Toham. The grotto contains a monumental statue of a sitting Buddha looking out to sea and it is considered a masterpiece of Buddhist art in the Far East. 4 faces Buddha, Gwaeneung Royal Tomb and Scenic drive tour to Guryongpo Port. Drive along the sea for beautiful coastal scenery. Return to Gyeongju. Overnight at Commodore Hotel.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Unmoonsa Temple (Buddhist Nun's temple). Proceed to Busan, the second largest city of South Korea. Upon arrival, start half-day Busan tour to Busan Tower on Mt Yongdusan with its observation deck offering stunning views of the city and beyond, Jagalchi Fishery Market where roadside vendors sell various fishes and Nampodong Street. Overnight at local 4 star Busan Tower hill Hotel in downtown

DAY 08 BUSAN / HAEINSA TEMPLE / ANDONG / CHUNGJU (B/-/-)
After breakfast, transfer to Mt Gayasan National Park via expressway. In Mt Gayasan National Park, visit Haeinsa Temple. Haeinsa Temple has a world famous Korean cultural treasure called Tripikata Koreana, which was made during the Goryo Dynasty to protect the country from the invasion of Mongolian troops by Buddha’s power. UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage designated this Tripitaka Koreana. Proceed to Andong, 2 hours away from Haeinsa. Andong is the best-preserved village with its traditional style noble houses. In 1999, Queen Elisabeth II visited Hahoe Village and was welcomed with Birthday Party Table decorated in Korean traditional way. Hahoe Village in Andong is famous for its own mask dance. After a visit to Hahoe Village, proceed to Chungju Lake. Overnight at local 4 star Benikea Cheong Pung Hotel

After breakfast, take a ride on Sightseeing Boat for lakeside scenery. (In the Winter this boat tour is subject to weather condition. When the lake is frozen, the boat tour will be cancelled.) Transfer to Mt Seorak National Park via Gangneung. In Gangneung, visit Chamsori Gramophone & Audio Museum. This museum boasts itself with incredible collection of 19th Century gramophones and 1st generation audio systems. Proceed to Samhwasa Temple to experience a unique temple stay (If the temple stay is arranged at Woljeongsa Temple, Chamsori Gramophone & Audio Museum will be visited on Day 10). Upon arrival at the temple, you will be given temple clothes to wear during your stay. Briefing on temple rules & regulations. Attend evening ceremony of Bell-Beating, Chanting Mass and Meditation course. For a day, you will not have telephone or TV in your room ( private Korean traditional style) Shower and toilets are on sharing basis. No alcohol is allowed at the temple. Overnight at Samhwasa Temple or Woljeongsa Temple.

DAY 10 Mt SEORAK NATIONAL PARK / DMZ (B/-/-)
Early rise at 3 am for morning worship ( volunteers only). After breakfast, transfer to DMZ Unification Observatory at demarcation line at the East Coast for a very close view of North Korea and Repository of nature in ecosystem DMZ museum. Return to Mt. Seorak National Park for a cable car ride to Gwongeumseong Fortress and visit Sinheungsa Temple. Rest of the day is at leisure at the park. Opportunity to enjoy hot spring swim or sauna at Waterpia Spa Park at own expense. Take a taxi to return to hotel ( client's own expense ) after enjoying the best water park of Korea. Overnight at local 5 star Kensington Hotel

After breakfast, transfer to Gapyeong to visit the Garden of Morning Calm Flower and Tree Park, which displays unique Korean wild flowers and trees in a garden located in the mountain valley. (In Jan, Feb, March, April, Nov, Dec, a visit to Yangpyeong Filming Studio with all the movie sets instead of the flower park ). Coach transfer to Seoul. After check-in, time at leisure in Seoul for independent activities or shopping at Dongdaemun shopping District. Overnight at local 4 star Summit Hotel in Seoul.

DAY 12 SEOUL (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel. End of Tour. End of Tour. No transfer is provided. Join the Airport Limousine which departs every 10-15 minutes outside your hotel (bus fare approximately £10 per person).
