Useful tips:
Airport/hotel transfers: In Tokyo, as Narita airport
is quite far from city centre, we suggest the limousine bus
service which is very easy to use and very good value. In
other cities, you can walk or use a taxi, local buses
or subway.
Japan Rail pass: Your rail pass will be valid from day 7
and give you unlimited access to Japan rail network
including the Shinkansen (bullet train) except the Nozomi.
Before traveling, you will need to present your JR pass at
train station to exchange for train tickets and make seat
reservation. Please keep your JR pass in safe place as it
cannot be be replaced or refunded.
City tours: To explore the real Japan, we suggest
walking tour combined with local transports such as taxi and
subway or local trains, buses. You will need
to have maps, leaflets and detailed information on the
places of interest in order to enjoy the tours fully.
For maximum enjoyment of your Japan holiday, we suggest
good preparation prior to departure and a good guide book as
English is not widely spoken in some areas. It’s advisable
to travel light.
