DAY 02 DELHI (-/-/-)
On arrival at New Delhi’s International Airport, our representative will take you to your hotel. Rest of the days is at leisure. Overnight at 4* Hans Plaza.

DAY 03 DELHI (B/-/D)
Full day guided city tour of Old and New Delhi. Among the principal sights are the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chadni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the Old city area and the Government Buildings, with a drive through the Rajpath to the majestic India Gate, the Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutab Minar. Overnight in Delhi.

Day at leisure in Delhi to stroll through colourful bazaars. Evening transfer to H. Nizamuddin Railway Station to board Mewar Express for the overnight train to Udaipur. Overnight on Train.

Upon arrival, transfer to Mahinder Prakash Heritage hotel. After a short refresher break, embark on a guided tour of The City Palace & Museum, a majestic architectural marvel towering over a lake. It is one of the most beautiful palaces in the state of Rajasthan, a conglomeration of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. The main entrance is through the Triple arched gate “Tripolia” with eight marble porticos; the Indo-Aryan Jagdish temple, built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh, is the largest and the most beautiful temple of Udaipur resplendent with amazing sculptures and the Saheliyon ki Bari with its numerous fountains. Evening sunset cruise on the beautiful placid Lake Pichola. The lake is surrounded by hills & Palaces including the beautiful City Palace, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. Day at leisure in Udaipur to explore more of the City Palace and take in the old streets of Udaipur city. Overnight at Mahinder Prakash Hotel.

After breakfast, depart for Jodhpur with en-route visit to the exquisitely carved Jain temple at Ranakpur, famed for its hall of 1444 unique pillars. Drive on to Jodhpur and check in at Park Plaza 4* hotel.

Morning half day guided city tour of Jodhpur visiting the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill, including Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Later visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing Marble Memorium built in 1899 and the Museum located in the Umaid Public Gardens. Later visit Mandore, the ancient capital of Marwar, which was abandoned for strategic reasons. Overnight at Park Plaza Hotel.

Morning drive to Jaisalmer, the last citadel in the yellow sand desert, known as the Golden City on the ancient trade route between India & Central Asia. Upon arrival check-in at Rang Mahal Heritage hotel.

Morning sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer includes a visit to the Fort, which still houses a population of 2,500 people, the Gadisar Lake and the famous Havelis (or mansions) – some of the most exotic ones being the Nathamalji ki Haveli, the Patwon ki Haveli & Salim Singh ki Haveli. Afternoon excursion to Sam Sand dunes in the Great Thar desert for a brief camel ride before returning for overnight at Rang Mahal hotel.

Morning drive to Bikaner, another medieval town founded by Rao Bika in 1488. Upon arrival, check in at Karni Bhwan Heritage hotel. Then visit the Deshnok Temple, and the miracle temple of Karni Mata, presiding Deity of the Royal House of Bikaner. An interesting feature is that rats are worshippers of Karni Mata in the form of Bards, and are present in large numbers within the precincts of the temple, thus also known as Rats Temple. Overnight at Rang Mahal Hotel.

Morning sightseeing tour of Bikaner city, which is bolstered by imposing walls and the 16th century Junagarh Fort housing old Palaces, temples and a mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the Fort is distinguished by its long range of pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. An enormous arched doorway leads to the Joramal Temple. The royal chapel is Har mandir where royal weddings and births were once celebrated. Visit the old Fort built by Raja Rai Singh. Later drive to Mandawa and upon arrival check-in at Castle Mandawa Heritage hotel for overnight.

Morning sightseeing tour of Mandawa, a small town with many havelis and temples. The terrace of the rugged Fort provides a panoramic view of the town. See the extraordinary frescoes on the walls of the houses. Afternoon departure by road to Jaipur and upon arrival check-in at Royal Orchid 4* hotel for overnight.

Full day city tour of Jaipur and the Amber fort, the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir, known as the hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and the Temple of Kali. Take a ride on a colourfully decorated elephant up to the ramparts of the Fort ( elephant ride subject to availability ). Among the principal sights are the Jantar Mantar – the Observatory, Hawa Mahal or the Palace of the Winds where the Royal Ladies observed the royal processions from behind latticed windows, The City Palace & Museum and Choki Dhani. Jaipur is also a major centre for precious and semi precious stones, jewellery, cotton textiles and the typical Blue Pottery. Overnight at Royal Orchid Hotel.

After breakfast, overland transfer to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital of Mughal India. Among the principal attractions of Fatehpur Sikri are the large audience halls, Palaces, the Mosques, the tomb of Salim Chishti, The Panch Mahal and the Buland Darwaza, the biggest gates in Asia. On arrival in Agra check-in at Howard Plaza Hotel for overnight.

DAY 16 AGRA (B/-/D)
This morning you may like to get up early to admire the magnificent Taj Mahal at sunrise. Return to hotel for breakfast followed by a half day guided tour of Agra city, which includes the eternal monument of love, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The Taj Mahal - built by the Mugal Emperor Shah Jehan, is a beautiful mausoleum, built of pure white marble and an architectural marvel. Built in the memory of his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal, the building was conceived as a garden tomb with the mausoleum rising at the far end of the complex with the river Yamuna flowing below. Beneath the dome are the cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jehan. On the other hand, Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar over the years 1565 – 1573, is famed for its maze of court-yards, mosques & private chambers. Most of the buildings originally built by Akbar were destroyed and were replaced by his grandson, Shah Jehan. The only surviving structure from Akbar’s period apart from the solid sand stone ramparts and the gateway is the Jehangir Mahal, the biggest of the private residence in the complex and its architecture indicates strong Hindu influences. Afternoon is free at leisure & for shopping. Overnight at Howard Plaza Hotel.

After breakfast drive to New Delhi International Airport to board your flight home.
