Day 01
Depart from ChiangRai. Meeting with our representative and transfer to ChiangKhong on Thai-Lao border. Cross the Mekong river by slow boat to Houeyxay. After visa process, transfer to Thavesinh hotel . Afternoon visit to ethnic villages of the Lantene and H’mong. Day 02
Morning drive to Luang Nam Tha, a land of rugged mountains, beautiful forest sharing the border with China and Myanmar. Visit en route to Ban Phasak, the Lu minority village. Overnight at Boat Landing guest house by Nam Tha river.
Day 03
All day exploration to the Nam Ha National Biodiversity Conservation area. Short forest trekking through ethnic villages of Iko and Hmong. Overnight in a village house (basic accommodation).
Day 04
Further exploration of Nam Ha with guide.
Day 05
Morning drive to MuangSing near the China Border with stop for visit to Ikhor hill tribe village. Overnight at guest house.
Day 06
Exploration of Muang Sing, the first Capital of the former Lu Kingdom of Sip Song PhanNa (12000 rice fields). Visit to local market where ethnic people will come down in early morning to sell their products. Enjoy a short walk around villages of the Lantene, Lu, Yao, Ikhor. Overnight in guest house.
Day 07
Return to Luang NamTha for departure.
