Price includes: International flights with Singapore airlines or similar, visa, airport/hotel transfers, deluxe hotels as above or similar with daily breakfast, half board meals i.e. lunch en route during excursions as stated, air conditioned coaches, internal flights, guided sightseeing, excursions, boat trips, admission fees.
Price excludes: Dinners, insurance, local airport tax, optional entertainment and any service not specified above. Single room supplement is £250 per person. Children: 75% of adult’s price (child sharing parents’ room). Please add £160 for high seasons (July, August and December).

Day 1 : Scheduled flight from London Heathrow to Yangon.

Day 2 : YANGON (D) Late morning arrival in Yangon. Meeting with our representative and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Evening welcome dinner at a Karaweik Palace restaurant with cultural show. Overnight in Yangon at Traders deluxe hotel.

Day 3 : YANGON (B/L) Full day city tour with guide: the National museum and the Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda to view the Reclining Buddha. Lunch. In the afternoon visits to downtown Yangon, the Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park, India town and China town with free time for shopping at Bogyoke market. Evening transfer to the great Shwedagon Pagoda and enjoy the sunset. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 4 : MANDALAY (B/L) Morning transfer to the airport for flight to Mandalay. Excursion to Amarapura ancient city with visit to the Mahagandayon Monastery where you can see people offering food to the monks. Enjoy a short walk on the 200 year old teak U Bein bridge, enter Bagaya Monastery. Transfer to Sedona deluxe hotel in the heart of Mandalay. Afternoon city tour includes: Mahamuni Pagoda famous for its gold leaf covered Buddha, visits to local workshops to view gold leaf making, tapestry, woodcarving and masonry work. Lunch at local restaurant. Further visits to Kuthodaw Pagoda to view the 729 marble slabs of Buddhist scriptures and Shwenandaw Monastery famed for its woodcarving. Evening visit to Mandalay hill to view sunset.

Day 5 : MANDALAY (B/L) Morning drive across Inwa bridge to Sagaing, the religious centre of Myanmar: It is home to 3000 monks and has over 600 white painted monasteries and pagodas. Visit to Kaungmudaw Pagoda before travelling on to Ava, the Capital from the 14th to the 18th centuries. Visit the remains of the Royal Palace and fort before returning to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay at Sedona hotel.

Day 6 : BAGAN (B/L) Early morning transfer to the jetty and cruise by local express Shwekeindari ferry boat on the Irrawaddy river to Bagan. You will have the
opportunity to see the real way of live of the locals along the river banks. Lunch on board. On arrival in Bagan in the early evening, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Bagan at Bagan hotel.

Day 7 : BAGAN (B/L) A full day guided tour to visit one of the most important archaeological sites in South East Asia. After a visit to Nyaung Oo market continue on to the Shwezigon Pagoda, Kyansitthar U Min temple, Wet Kyi Inn Gubyaukgyi temple and Shwegugyi temple. Lunch. Afternoon visit to the Archaeological museum and a lacquerware factory. Further visits to Bagan’s best known pagodas and temples including Mingalazedi Pagoda and Ananda Temple. Evening visit to Shwesandaw temple to view the sunset. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 8 : INLE (B/L) Morning transfer to the airport for flight to Heho. Drive to Nyaung Shwe through the hazy Shan mountains and transfer to Inle lake, home to the Intha people who live in floating villages along the lakeside. Boat trip on the lake with a chance to see the leg-rowing fishermen, the floating gardens, floating villages and floating market. Lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight in Inle at Inle Princess, the best resort in Inle.

Day 9 : INLE (B/L) Further boat trip on Inle lake with visit to Indein ancient pagoda complex, local market, Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, Inpawkhon weaving village, floating silver smith and the jumping cat Monastery. Lunch at local restaurant. Overnight in Inle at Inle Princess resort.

Day 10 :PINDAYA (B/L) Drive through the countryside of Shan state to Pindaya. Lunch en route. Afternoon visit to Pindaya’s limestone caves to view some of the more than 8000 Buddha statues and stop at traditional Shan paper and parasol making workshops. Drive on to Kalaw surrounded by forested Shan hills and pine forests. Overnight in Kalaw at Pine Hill resort.

Day 11 : KALAW (B/L) Morning drive to the mountain to start trekking. Walking tour (3hrs) with guide to the Shan hills to meet local people and view the beautiful flora and fauna .Visit ethnic minority villages on top of the hill and enjoy a cup of green tea in their long house. Picnic lunch. Afternoon return to Kalaw for overnight stay at Pine Hill.

Day 12 : HEHO (B/L) Transfer to Heho airport for flight to Yangon. Rest of day is at leisure or shopping. Overnight in Yangon at Traders hotel.

Day 13 : KHIYATTIYO (B/L) Coach transfer to Bago, 80 km north west of Yangon. Visits to the 55m Shwethalyaung reclining Buddha and the Shwemawdaw Pagoda one of the most venerated in Myanmar. Lunch at local restaurant. Drive on to Khiyattiyo and transfer by pick up truck to the base camp. Walk up the hill (1 hour) to visit the famous Golden Rock. Enjoy the sunset and overnight at Golden Rock hotel.

Day 14 : BAGO (B/L) Drive back to Yangon with visit to Bago market and stop at the Allied War cemetery at Htaukkyan. Lunch at local restaurant. Overnight in Yangon at Traders hotel.

Day 15 : YANGON (B) Morning at leisure for shopping. Afternoon transfer to the airport for departure.

Day 16 : Early morning arrival home at London Heathrow.
