Day
01
Depart from Yangon. Morning transfer to airport for flight
to Sittwe, the Capital of Rakkine State. Sightseeing includes
Payagyi pagoda, Payamya Monastery, Cultural museum and the
river front market.
Day 02
Boat trip (5hours) to Mrauk U along the Kalandan river.
Transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit to the famous Shittaung
Temple with its stunning sculpture, HtaukkanThein temple
with figures of beautiful ladies offering lotus buds, Andaw-Thein
temple where the molar tooth relic of Buddha is kept and
the octagonal Ratanabon Stupa on a hillock.
Day 03
Morning visit to Karate Chaung village and boat trip on
Laymyo river (2hrs) with a chance to see the tattoo women
of Chin and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area. Lunch a
local restaurant. Visit to local villages and return to
Mrauk U.
Day 04
Transfer to Sittwe. Lunch at local restaurant and visit
Thakya Monastery and Kuthala Monastery. Overnight at
Sittwe sea resort.
Day 05
Morning visit to local market and weaving houses. Transfer
to airport for flight to Yangon
