A 10 day fully escorted cultural & wildlife exciting private tour visiting the Iban hill tribe & Sarawak most beautiful national parks.

Price includes: International flights with Malaysia Airlines from Heathrow, airport/hotel transfers, hotels as above or similar with daily breakfast, half board meals i.e. lunch en route during excursions as stated, air conditioned coaches, guided sightseeing, excursions, boat trips, admission fees.
Price excludes: insurance, local airport tax, meals other than stated, optional entertainment and any service not specified above. Children: 75% of adult’s price (child sharing parents’ room). Please add £160 for high seasons (July, August). Programme extendible to Damai beach, Sabah, Peninsula Malaysia and Langkawi or Penang. Single room supplement £195.

Day 1: Departure with Malaysia Airlines from London to KuChing via Kuala Lumpur.

Day 2 : KUCHING (D) On arrival in Kuching, city of the Cat, meeting with our local representative at airport and transfer to Hilton Kuching hotel. Welcome to Sarawak, an ideal destination for travellers seeking an authentic “jungle” experience with a variety of nature, culture and adventure offerings. Afternoon guided city tour including the Sarawak museum, the beautifully landscaped Kuching waterfront and the colourful Chinatown with traditional shophouses. Dinner & overnight at Hilton Kuching hotel. 

Day 3 : SEMENNGOH (B/L) All day visit to the Semengoh Orang Utan rehabilitation centre. Here, the wardens train young Orang Utans, who have either been orphaned or rescued from captivity, how to survive in the wild. Lunch at local restaurant. Return to Kuching in the afternoon. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at Hilton Kuching hotel.

Day 4 : LEMANAK (B/L/D) Morning departure for a trip on Lemanak River Safari. Pick up from hotel for a 290-km car ride with enroute stops at a pepper farm, the local market in Serian town. Lunch in Lachau, a small upcountry Chinese village. After lunch continue to Lemanak river to board a longboat and venture upstream to reach the Iban tribe.The Ibans are one of the indigenous people in Sarawak. They are mobile people, fishing, hunting and cultivating hill rice. It was told in the past they practised headhunting as a means of survival against the enemies. The will perform a traditional war dance in full ceremonial regalia to welcome their guests. Enjoy a cultural exchange with the Ibans and their families and learn about the communal lifestyle they share in the Long House.Dinner and overnight in a basic guest house.

Day 5 : BATANG AI (B/L) Explore the real way of life the locals and experience their blowpipe dart weapons. Short forest trekking and lunch by the river bank. Transfer to Batang Ai with visit en route to a cocoa plantation. Boat trip to Hilton Batang Ai Long House Resort surrounded by mountains and the unspoiled rainforests of Sarawak. Evening at leisure

Day 6 : KUCHING (B/L) Return to Kuching with lunch en route and overnight at Hilton Kuching hotel. Evening at leisure. 

Day 7 : BAKO (B/L): Drive to Bako National Park (45 min). The park covers the northern tip of the Muara Tebas peninsula, an area of 27 sq km. Bako contains a wide range of vegetation: swamp forest, scrub-like padang vegetation, mangrove forest, a rich variety of wildlife and a coastline line covered with small bays, coves and beaches. Enjoy a boat trip and short trek with park ranger to explore the rich flora and fauna with a chance to see the long tailed macaque monkeys, wild boar, squirrels and lizards. Late afternoon return to hotel.

Day 8 : GUNUNG GADING (B/L) Full day trip to Gading National Park in Bau town with a visit en route to a bird sanctuary. Short trek in the park with a chance to see a blooming Rafflesia (biggest flower up to one meter diameter). Return to hotel for overnight.

Day 9 : Fly home with Malaysia Airlines via Kula Lumpur.

Day 10 : Early morning arrival home at London Heathrow.
