A fully inclusive exciting 13
day wildlife expeditions including the most amazing
Borneo eco-treasures: Sandakan, Sepilok Orang Utan
rehabilitation centre, Turtle island, Mount Kinabalu,
Poring hot Spring, Kuching, Iban village, Batang Ai,
Bako national park.
Departure on the 2nd Saturday of each month (from March to
October only).Price is per person sharing twin or double
room.
Price includes :International flights with
Malaysia airlines, internal flights with local airlines,
airport/hotel transfers, deluxe hotels as above or similar
with daily breakfast, half board meals as specified, air
conditioned coaches, internal flights, English speaking
local guides, excursions, boat trips, admission fees.

Day 1 :
Departure from London Heathrow with Malaysia airlines. Fly
to Kota Kinabalu via Kuala Lumpur.
Day 2 : Kota
Kinabalu ( D )Arrival in
Kota Kinabalu . Meeting with our guide and transfer to
your hotel. Afternoon is at leisure to relax by the pool.
Welcome dinner at hotel. Overnight at Shangrila Tajung Aru
hotel.
Day 3 :Kota Kinabalu (B/L).
Full day guided visit to Kinabalu National Park. Morning
drive through the Crocker range to the southern end of
Kinabalu Park. At Poring, join a jungle trail,
venturing into the canopy walkway, take a dip in the
therapeutic sulphur baths and visit a butterfly farm after
which, adjourn for lunch at Kinabalu Park restaurant. After
lunch, enjoy a short trek along one of the mountain trails
and visit the Mountain Garden, exploring its flora and
fauna. Overnight in Shangri-La Tanjung Aru.
Day 4 :Kinabalu/ Sandakan
- Selingan (B/L/D). Transfer to Kinabalu airport for
flight to Sandakan. Pick up from Sandakan airport and
transfer to the jetty for a 75-minute boat ride to
Selingan (Turtle Island). Check into your chalet. Rooms
have twin beds with air conditioning, shared toilets and showers. Spend the rest of the day swimming or lazing
on the beach. After dinner, you will be invited by a
ranger to observe the turtles laying eggs on the beach.
Later the eggs are transferred to the hatchery and if
there are young turtles around, one can watch their
release to the sea. Overnight in chalet.
Day 5 : Selingan - Sandakan
(B/L/D). Depart from the island at 7:00 am for Sandakan.
Breakfast in Sandakan. Visit to Sepilok Orang Utan
Rehabilitation Centre, where the “ Man of the Forest “ are
prepared to return to wild life. Afternoon visit to the
famed Agnes Keith’s house, view of Sandakan from the
observation pavillion followed by lunch at the English Tea
House & Restaurant then Sandakan city tour including
Sandakan central market , an old Chinese temple, a local
tribe water village. Overnight in Sandakan at Sabah
hotel.
Day 6 : Sandakan/ Kinabalu (B/L).
Morning transfer to Sandakan
airport for flight to Kinabalu. On arrival transfer to
Shangri-La Tanjung Aru. Lunch at local restaurant. Rest of
the day is at leisure to enjoy the Shangri-La facilities.
Optional sunset cruise to the five islands on
Touchdown luxury yatch. Overnight at Shangri-la Tanjung
Aru.
Day 7 :
Kinabalu/ Kuching (B/D).
Transfer to airport for flight to Kuching.
On arrival in Kuching
airport transfer to
Hilton Kuching Hotel. Afternon city tour of Kuching - also
named City of the Cat - visiting the famous Sarawak
Museum, colourful bazaars and markets, India and gambier
street, Chinese temples and mosques and the beautifully
landscaped waterfront promenade. Dinner and overnight at
Hilton Kuching hotel
Day 8
: Kuching/ Iban village – Batang Ai (B/L).
Pick up from hotel for a 290-km car ride with
enroute stops at a pepper farm, the local market in
Serian town.
Lunch in Lachau, a small upcountry Chinese village. After
lunch continue to the scenic Batang Ai Lake.
Board a ferry for a
30-minute crossing to reach Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort.
Rest
of the day is at leisure to enjoy
the many facilities of the resort. Overnight at the
resort.
Day 9
: Batang Ai – Kuching (B/L).
After breakfast, depart from Batang Ai Resort
to jetty and transfer by car to Lemanak River.
Board
native longboats and venture upstream to reach
the Iban village. The Ibans will perform a traditional war dance
in full ceremonial regalia to welcome
their guests. Enjoy a
cultural exchange with the Ibans and their
families
and learn about the communal lifestyle they
share in the
Long House.
Native lunch by the bank of Lemanak River,
after which take
a short jungle walk
with an Iban guide.
Transfer back to Kuching.
Overnight in Hilton Kuching.
Day 10
: Bako (B/L). After
breakfast, excursion to Bako National Park.Car
transfer from Kuching city to Bako
village, Next board a motorboat
for an exciting half an hour
ride on South China sea to reach
this beautiful national park.
This is a day with plenty of opportunities to trek through
this amazing
park to explore its
flora and fauna and discover proboscis, long tail
macaque & silver
monkeys. There are plenty
of trails to choose from, please
discuss it with your guide. Lunch
at the Park canteen. Overnight
at Hilton Kuching.
Day 11 : Kuching/ Kuala Lumpur
(B). Transfer to Kuching aiport for flight to Kuala
Lumpur. On arrival in Kuala Lumpur transfer to Renaissance
hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Kuala
Lumpur.
Day 12 : Kuala Lumpur (B/L).
After Breakfast, embark on an interesting tour which
unveils the beauty and charm of the old and new Kuala
Lumpur – Garden City of Light. Highlights of the tour
include: Petronas Twin Towers (photo stop), King’s Palace (photo stop), National Monument,
National Museum, National Mosque
(photo stop), Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the Tudor
styled Cricket Club. Lunch during visits. Overnight at Renaissance hotel.
Day 13 : Kuala Lumpur/ Langkawi
(B). Transfer to Kuala Lumpur airport for flight fly
home or beach extension to Langkawi or Penang.
